allwhere supports the complete lifecycle of your hardware
— including when you're ready to retire or
replace equipment. If your organization follows a defined
refresh cycle, or has devices no longer
suitable for redeployment, you can request a resale or recycling
directly from your Asset Dashboard.

Resell process
Once you submit a resale request, here's what happens:
Initial quote
within 3 business days
| • | A resale order is placed in the allwhere system. |
| • | We provide an initial estimate based on the device model. This estimate may differ from the final quote following physical inspection. |
Hardware evaluation
8–15 business days after approval
| • | After you approve the initial quote, we complete a full hardware evaluation. Timeline may vary depending on volume. |
| • | A final quote is issued after evaluation and is valid for 7 business days. |
Quote approval scenarios
| If... | Then... |
|---|---|
| Final quote matches or exceeds the initial quote | Automatically approved and finalized — no action needed. |
| Final quote is up to 10% lower than the initial quote | Automatically approved and finalized — no action needed. |
⏱ If the final quote is more than 10% lower than the initial
quote — you'll need to respond
We'll send the new quote for your approval, valid for
7 business days.
| No response | The quote is auto-approved and the sale proceeds — your devices will be sold even without a reply. Keep an eye out for this email. |
| You decline | A $15 cancellation fee applies. |
⚠ If the initial quote isn't approved within 14 days
The order is canceled and your devices are returned to allwhere
inventory. If you're on the fence about
a resale, reach out to Support before the window closes rather
than letting it lapse.
Restocking fee: once the
initial resell quote is approved, a
$50 restocking fee per device
applies if that device is returned
to allwhere inventory afterward.
Payment & completion
5–10 business days after final approval
| • | We issue a credit to your account. |
| • | Devices are marked as SOLD in your Asset Dashboard. |

Important requirements for resells
Before resale can proceed, all devices must be:
| • | Unenrolled from Apple Business Manager (DEP) |
| • | Removed from any Mobile Device Management (MDM) systems |
| • | Free of Activation Lock, MDM locks, or recovery locks. Not sure how to check or remove these? See our guides on managing Activation Lock as an organization and turning off Activation Lock on your device. |
DEP unenrollment just means
removing the device from your Apple
Business Manager (formerly "Device Enrollment Program," or DEP) account,
so it's no longer tied to your
organization.
If these steps aren't completed, we can't proceed with resale. If
we don't hear back within
10 business days of requesting DEP unenrollment
or quote approval, the resale order
will be canceled.
N/A
Ineligible devices
Devices that are critically damaged, Activation Locked, or MDM Locked
are not eligible for resale.
These devices may still be recycled. If locks are removed, resale
may become possible, but processing
timelines may change.
RCY
Recycling process
Once you submit a recycling request:
| • | A recycle order is placed in the allwhere system. |
| • | E-waste pickups and processing happen twice per month. |
| • | A certificate of destruction is emailed to the admin who placed the order within 60 business days of pickup. |
| • | The asset is marked as RECYCLED in your Asset Dashboard. |
