Before you get started
Please read our Iru (Kandji) Documentation to understand how the sync will work. Your Iru (Kandji) integration may create new employee records in allwhere. We recommend reading the linked documentation to ensure this does not happen.
In order to connect allwhere to the Iru (Kandji) API you must first perform the following actions in your Iru (Kandji) console:
How to create Iru (Kandji) credentials
- In your Iru (Kandji) instance, navigate to Settings and click the Access tab.
- Click the + Add Token button to create a new token.
- Enter a display name for the token, we recommend naming this allwhere, and then click Create.
- Copy the generated API Token and store it in a safe place, as it is only shown once. You will need to provide this to allwhere.
- Next, click Configure on the token you just created to set its permissions.
- In the permissions list, under Device Information add
-
Device details: /api/v1/devices/{device_id}/details
GET: Get the full details for a specific device -
Device list: /api/vi/devices
GET: Get a list of all devices in the Iru (Kandji) instance
It will look like this:
-
Device details: /api/v1/devices/{device_id}/details
- Click Save.
See Iru (Kandji) documentation here for additional support.
Note: When creating your Iru (Kandji) API token, configure it with only the minimum required scopes to follow least-privilege best practices. Please use the kandji URL provided when you create the API token.
