Overview
Until now, users could place Procurement to Recipient (P2R) orders without specifying the destination country up front. This led to issues such as inaccurate shipping options, unreliable delivery estimates, and requests for shipments to unsupported regions.
To improve order accuracy, expectation setting and fulfillment speed, allwhere now requires users to select the destination country at the start of the Send Equipment flow.
What’s New: Country Selection at the Start of Send Equipment
When you begin a new P2R order in the Send Equipment flow, you’ll now see a required country selection dropdown before accessing the catalog.
Key Features:
Select your recipient’s country from a list of supported countries.
If the destination is unknown, select “I don’t know”.
In this case, the system will only show a single shipping option with:
Unknown shipping speed
Unknown shipping cost
Unknown estimated delivery date
Note: Your country selection will not affect the catalog experience.
Accurate Shipping Estimates
Once a country is selected:
Shipping options at checkout are filtered based on the selected country.
Earliest delivery dates are calculated using the shipping method and destination.
If the entered address at checkout doesn’t match the selected country:
An error is displayed
The user cannot proceed until the mismatch is corrected
If “I don’t know” was selected, the user can only submit an address form rather than choosing specific shipping options
Visibility throughout
To improve transparency and traceability:
The original country selection is visible on the order details page, so users can reference it at any time
FAQ
What if I don’t know the destination country yet?
You can select “I don’t know”, which will allow you to proceed with limited shipping options. You’ll be able to submit an address later, but delivery estimates and cost information will be unavailable until a full address is provided.
Can I change the selected country later?
No. The country selected at the start of the Send Equipment flow is stored as the original ship-to country and is used throughout fulfillment and tracking. This field cannot be changed later.
Does this apply to other order types?
Not yet. Country selection is currently required only for Procurement to Recipient orders in the Send Equipment flow. However, this functionality will be extended to other order types in upcoming phases.
