Retrievals via allwhere are fast and easy on both you the admin and your employees!
To submit a retrieval, you will first need to make sure the employee(s) are added to your employee list. We currently support the retrieval of laptops, mobile phones, and tablets.
How to submit a retrieval request
For retrievals you just need to navigate to “retrieve equipment” and follow the wizard.
You’ll need to know what country you are retrieving from to start. Once you select the country the retrieval wizard will automatically prompt you with allwhere’s options.
Then, you will be prompted with an employee page where you can select the employee(s) you are retrieving devices from (yes–if they are in the same country, you can send multiple retrievals at once! 🙌).
Next, the devices page will prompt you with any known devices the employee has associated with them. If they have no known devices, or you need to retrieve an additional device, you can click “add device” to add it. You’ll see that some choices are prompted
Process device – when this is “yes” any device coming back to an allwhere storage facility will be processed: physically inspected, sanitized, diagnostics run, and data is wiped so that it is ready to go for the next user. We will also pair it with an appropriate charger if one is missing before shipping it to another user. If this is “no” when the device comes back to allwhere, we will simply store the device
Known issues – you can let us know ahead of time if this is a known bad device
Insurance coverage – You can choose your insurance coverage for this retrieval.*
MDM pin lock code – If known, please provide the MDM pin code so we can more quickly process the device (you can also email this into hello@allwhere.co if not known at the time of retrieval request).
Add an address – you have the option to add the employee’s address if you would like. This does speed up processing time in many cases, but we always recommend letting us get the address from the employee so that we are shipping to the place that is best for them to receive it
Finally, you are taken to a review screen to review the employees, devices, and options before submitting the order.
What happens next?
If you didn’t provide the address during the order placement, the employee will receive an email asking them for their shipping address
If you provided the address they will get order updates with tracking information
Both employee and the admin who placed the order will get order updates with tracking information
The order will appear on your Orders Dash
Once the retrieval is complete, if you retrieved to an allwhere storage facility, it will be processed and appear on your Asset Dash

*Please note for devices damaged during shipment, we will need photos of the device from right before the shipment to process the insurance claim
**PLEASE NOTE: in order to ensure inventory accuracy and, moreover, secure shipping only one (1) device may go into a retrieval box along with its power supply. If additional devices are put into the retrieval box and it is received into an allwhere depot, you will be charged full retrieval cost for those devices. Multiple devices in the box will also void insurance coverage on that shipment.
